Overview

 

It is time to begin the process of electing parents to serve on the School Improvement Council (SIC) and Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) for the 2022-2023 school year.

 

Parents who serve on SIC serve in an advisory capacity with the school and also serve a very important role as liaison between school and community. Parents who serve on the PTO support the educational goals of the school and encourage parental involvement in the education of their child's education and school.

 

Our SIC-PTO meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 pm. The first meeting of the 2022-23 school year will be held on September 26, 2022.

 

Only parents of a child attending W.A. Middle School for the 2022-2023 school year are eligible to serve as elected members on SIC and PTO. Parents are limited to serving on SIC at one school each year. We currently have two seats available on SIC and four seats available on PTO.

 

Parent involvement is important to us, and your input is needed and truly appreciated. Please nominate yourself or someone else by completing the SIC Nomination Form or PTO Drive form. Links to the forms are below.

 

You must submit your nomination to the SIC/PTO on or before Monday, September 12, 2022. The PTO Drive form is open for the entire school year.
